Indian Rescue Academy Secures NDRF Training Contract for Aquatic Disaster Response
The Training Division of ITUS, Indian Rescue Academy (IRA), has successfully secured a contract through a competitive tender to conduct Aquatic Disaster Response Training for the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF).
This marks another important step in IRA’s continued work with frontline disaster response agencies across the country.
The training program will focus on practical, real-world skills required during water-based emergencies, including:
• Swift water rescue
• Flood response operations
• Boat handling and navigation
• Drowning prevention techniques
• Coordinated response in aquatic disaster scenarios
The sessions will combine classroom inputs with hands-on training, ensuring that personnel are equipped to respond effectively in challenging environments.
Ankit Wagh, CEO, ITUS, stated:
“We’re glad to have been selected through this tender process. Working with NDRF is always meaningful, and we look forward to contributing to their already strong capabilities in aquatic rescue.”
IRA has trained thousands of personnel from NDRF, SDRFs, fire services, and other agencies over the years, and continues to focus on building practical, high-quality training programs tailored to on-ground needs.
