Candidates were firstly trained in 30 protocols of First Aid which included the skills of cardio pulmonary resuscitation (CPR), managing small and severe injuries, bandaging, evacuations techniques. Additionally the trainer provided the candidates with tips on ensuring safety as part of their day to day lives.

The overall objective of the course was to inculcate a sense of safety amongst the candidates and develop a consciousness to help the visitors of park in distress.

Along with the First Aid training the candidates underwent training in aquatic lifesaving activities in water in which the candidates were firstly tested for high endurance swimming (i.e 400 m swim in 15 minutes). The performance of the candidates was very poor in endurance swimming. Due to this, various drills to improve the swimming capabilities were practiced on a daily basis.

After which different techniques which included Dry rescue and Wet Rescue were taught to the candidates respectively.
